Pasta in Creamy Tomato Sauce   


Pasta in Creamy Tomato Sauce is an Italian Dish which is  relished by one and all in family because its very Cheesy , yummy and deliciously tasty .. Its loaded with lots of Cheese , tomatoes and prepared in Olive Oil which makes this dish healthy and Sumptuous .. It can be prepared easily within few minutes by a learner too .. Something that can be prepared instantly and satiate your hunger at all times .. Do prepare and start licking your fingers

INGREDIENTS:

  • Penne Pasta boiled(MIX VARIETIES)   -   2 cups

  • White Sauce                                          -   1 cup

  • Tomatoes (chopped)                              -   4 medium

  • Tomato puree                                         -   1 cup

  • Tomato ketchup                                      -   4 teaspoons

  • Olive oil                                                   -    2 teaspoons

  • Garlic (chopped)                                     -    2 tablespoons

  • Crushed red chillies( Chilli flakes)           -   2 teaspoons + for garnishing

  • Salt to taste

  • Fresh basil leaves roughly chopped        -    6-7 + for garnishing (Optional)

  • Parmesan cheese (grated)                      -    2 tablespoons

  • CAROM SEEDS                                                       -      a pinch 

FOR WHITE SAUCE :                                              - 2  tablespoons butter
                                                                                      - 2  tablespoons all purpose flour(Maida)
                                                                                      - 1 cup milk 




Method For preparing White sauce   

1) Melt the butter in a saucepan

2) Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.

3) Take the pan off the heat and gradually stir in the milk to get a smooth sauce. Return to the heat and, stirring all the time, bring to the boil.

4) Simmer gently for 8-10 minutes and season with salt and white pepper.


Method


1) Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan, add carom seeds for aroma and flavour .Then add garlic and sauté for two minutes.


2) Add crushed red chillies and mix. Add tomatoes and tomato puree and mix well.


3) Add salt and roughly chopped basil leaves, mix well and cook till the tomatoes turn pulpy.


4) Add white sauce and mix well.


5) Add penne pasta, mix well and cook for two minutes. Adjust salt if required.


6) Add Parmesan cheese and mix well 


7) Garnish with crushed red chillies and basil leaves.


8) Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot with Garlic Bread or you can have like this .
